A combination of the best methodologies
The way we put our educational approach into practice in the classroom combines different methodologies that have evolved alongside the school, the world of education and society. Our current leadership team also has an open and receptive approach to other international educational models and, above all, to the Culture of Thinking, which represents a natural evolution of our educational journey.
Our school follows a constructivist, experiential methodology that places pupils at the centre of the learning process, encouraging them to play an active role in their own learning. Being a single-form-entry school also allows us to take into account each pupil’s individual abilities and skills and to respond to different profiles, learning paces, interests and concerns.
We also offer the option of shared tutoring, with three-way meetings involving the family, the pupil and the teacher concerned. These meetings are highly valued for the sense of trust, closeness and teamwork they create, and complement the more traditional meetings with each pupil’s tutor, which are always available to families.
Fostering a love of learning
The development of each pupil’s potential begins in Early Years, through programmes that stimulate different types of intelligence and foster a desire to learn.
In our view, the result is an adaptation and combination of the best methodological strategies currently available. These include cooperative learning, collaborative learning, project-based learning, Inspira, EMAT, Ludilletres, chess, robotics and programming, physical education and healthy habits, among others.
At our school, learning takes place in a calm and friendly environment that further supports a holistic education, helping pupils grow into resourceful, confident and self-assured individuals with autonomy, sensitivity, imagination, resilience, empathy, creativity, respect for the environment, solidarity, generosity and strong emotional management skills.
And always within a happy day-to-day school life, with a constant desire to celebrate together, as reflected in the special events on our calendar, including Tree Day in spring, the Grape Harvest Festival, the Living Nativity and Sports Day.
